SO WHAT IS RUGBY LEAGUE?
Rugby League, is a team sport, well known for its high involvement of all players in the team, and the unity it creates with its players. Rugby League in the UK is best known for what happens in the Engage Rugby Super League. Rugby League is fast, exciting and spectacular. It's a game played by powerful athletes who experience over 300 collisions during 80 minutes of play. It's a game that takes your breath away - literally! Combine the players' athleticism with ingenious strategies to crack the defences, and you will see why Rugby League is a spectacular sport that you have to try!

PLAYING THE GAME
The 1st step in playing the game for newcomers here on campus is to join the MMU Cheshire RL team, look around in the joining the club feature on this site for ways on how to get involved with the team. Rugby League is played throughout the UK, so various opportunities are available to play the game outside of uni, find your nearest club on the RFL club finder click the RFL logo at the bottom for more info. Chances to gain International and county caps via the Student Rugby Leagues performance pathway are available to players at this uni.
