Come to the pub

For the forthcoming 2007-2008 year, we will be now meeting on Thursday evenings in the Phoenix Bar on the corner of Oxford Road and Booth Street, (opposite the College of Music), at around 8pm.

If you can't make but want to come along on the next walk please please please e-mail mmuhiking@gmail.com by the Wednesday before the walk to reserve a place and sort out any details

To join all you need to do is come along and follow the guidelines below...

To join then all you need is:
£15 for membership to the Hiking Club and £5 to the Athletic Union.

The membership money is spent on equipment which we need to run the hikes, e.g. maps, radio's, compasses, first aid kits and whistles. Officially we are only allowed to take those people affiliated to Manchester Metropolitan University and Life members but many old members come along to our events so there shouldn't be a problem. Friends of members are also welcome.
If not you are not a members of the AU then you'll need:
A valid NUS card
A single passport sized photo

Sunday hikes are £10 (unless its a Peak District walk for which you are required to pay for the cost of your train ticket).
