Hello! Welcome to the MMU Rock Society page!

About us:

We're one year old! MMU Rock Society was formed after freshers 2006 by everyone who was dissapointed at the lack of one. For most of the year we've been running as an unnoficial organisation and just concentrating on growing membership and having fun, but - come summer - our glorious leader has been working hard to get us official for freshers '07.

This year we are working closely with our friends RAW (Univeristy of Manchester Rock Society) and Salford University Rock Society to create an epic year of events. We will be having big joint events as well as our own, and as always members are welcome across all society's. Collectively we are known as 'Manchester Rocks' and have membership cards with discounted entry to all of Manchesters main rock nights. A joint cross society website is in progress.

We have a lot planned for the next year, including joint end of term trips, and we will be hosting a massive 'Halloween Hellraiser' hosted by all three socities.

4TH OCTOBER QUIZ NIGHT - University of Manchester are holding a pub quiz and pool tournement that you are all invited to go along to. Meeting at Korumbar at 8, the quiz will start at about 9. Will be a change to the club nights which some of you have mentioned you would like.

5TH OCTOBER JILLYS - We have 30 free passes into Jilly's before 10:30. It is first come first served for the passes. We will be meeting at 8 outside the student union, drinking in there before heading to Jilly's for the all-nighter.
