MMUnion Student Officers 2008/2009
One of the main roles that MMUnion plays is to represent students within the university. The Students’ Union exists to reflect MMU students’ views, defend their rights and provide them with relevant services. The Union is run by democratic processes. This allows all students to get involved with how the Union is run.
The Union has full-time and part-time officers, each of whom has a dedicated role. The officers are responsible for representing MMU’s diverse student body including students who have specific support needs such as mature students and gay and lesbian students. In addition, the Student Officers are responsible for developing areas that are of particular interest or concern to MMU students, like the sports clubs and societies and halls and accommodation.
MMU Cheshire has dedicated Student Officers elected from MMU Cheshire to specifically represent Cheshire students.
