Go greener

Successful student campaigning at MMU has brought about the appointment of an environmental sustainability team, campus-wide recycling and the second biggest array of solar photovoltaic panels in Manchester on the All Saints buildings.  

But the work of students and the Union can’t stop there. Whilst the University position has improved in the Green League from 91st in 2007 to 17th in 2011, there’s still a lot that can be done.Click here to read more

  LATE campaign - if you're on time why is your class late?

A brand new service run by MMUnion, which allows you to text us if your lecture starts late or is cancelled at short notice. Text 'LATE' followed by your course and year to 81205 and we'll do the rest. Standard charges apply for texts.

Halls rent payments changed to ease the financial pressure in the 1st term

A long and hard-fought halls rent campaign, which began in October 2007. Find out how we got the university to change their rent payment installments from 50% up front in the first term, and how this prevented thousands of students from being plunged into debt within the first week.
 


Library opening hours - flexible study resources that meet your needs

In 2008, we campaigned for All Saints Library to stay open until 23.30 during the exam period to help you revise. Due to student demand, those opening hours have since been extended on an ongoing basis from Mon-Thu and Sunday evenings. Click here for more details on library opening times.
