Daniel Alcock, an MMU student has been chosen to represent the Great British Men’s Football team, at the World University Games, which take place in Shenzhen, China in August 2011.
Daniel has triumphed in his footballing career where he first completed a youth scholarship at Stoke City FC, followed by receiving professional contracts with Barnsley FC and Accrington Stanley FC. He then moved to Stafford Rangers FC, where he won an international cap, representing the England C team. After his time at Stafford Rangers FC, he moved on to play for Tamworth FC in the Blue Square Premier and he now plays for Nuneaton Town in the Blue Square North League.
So we would like to say a big congratulations to Daniel on this amazing achievement and more importantly, good luck!
