Join the Swimming & Water Polo Club!!!

 

 

Become part of one of the most successful, fun clubs at MMU Cheshire. The club is open to everyone, freshers and returning students, offering a chance for you to participate in two different sports. You don't have to have any previous experience to join as we have a good standard of coaching in both the swim team and the water polo teams. With success in both the mens and womens water polo teams from previous years and individual succes in swimming events year after year.

For those interested in swimming the club enters into BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) team and individual competitions or if you simply want to swim to keep fit we welcome you too and have trained swim teachers and coaches to help you improve if you wish.

We also have the mens and womens water polo teams who compete in both BUCS waterpolo and U-polo leagues, with coaching to help those new to the sport and those more expereinced. 

But as well as the sporting aspect to the club we also have a sociable side, with weekly socials, and other sociable gatherings and events, including an anual tour to Salou. Tour 2011 was a great week full of sporting and social activites. We are already looking forward to Tour 2012 ! 

2011/12 will be a very exciting time to be part of the swimming and water polo club, the club has had great success in previous years, and is looking forward to a successful and exciting new academic year. 

For just £45 you can have a great time coming to our many social events, receive high quality coaching, play and swim as part of a great team and make loads of new friends. And best of all, swimming & water polo doesn't clash with most of the other available sports so if you want to compete in other sports you can also become members of them as well as being part of our club.

There is currently a cost of £2.50 for Swimming and £3 for Water Polo per week but it is a cost that we are looking at reducing as soon as possible!

MMU Cheshire Swimming & Water Polo is a great place to get fit, make some new mates and above all have a great time!

 

Training Times

Land Training: Monday 6:30pm - 8pm (Crewe campus Gymnasium)

Swimming: Wednesday 2.30pm - 4pm (Crewe Swimming pool, Flag Lane)

Water Polo: Thursday 8.30pm - 10.20pm (Crewe Swimming pool, Flag Lane)
