With a healthy balance between competitiveness and social events, MMUC Ladies Hockey is the club to join! Having a close relationship with the Mens Hockey Club allows the overall university hockey atmosphere to be socially enjoyable as well as hard working and committed. Regardless of ability, anyone with enthusiasm for the game and banter alongside that will be welcomed into the club and become part of a great friendship network which makes up the two teams we currently have in the BUCS league. We have a well trained and professional coach this season, who helped us achieve so much more last season, both teams are aiming for the achievable goal of  promotion.

MMU Cheshire Hockey Club has made my first two years at uni incredible! The playing standard for both teams is great and really gives you the opportunity to develop as a player and bond as a team. The social side of the club makes all the training and commitment worth while! Socials after the games on Wednesdays are the highlight of the week and a chance to get to know your team-mates better! We have fantastic events throughout the year; the sports award valentines ball, interfaculty cup, TOUR and many more! Hockey Girls are Lovely!!

I joined the hockey club as a complete beginner and everyone made me feel so welcome. 2 years later I am 2nd team vice captain and absolutely love both the playing and social sides and class the hockey girls as some of my best friends. I would recommend both experienced players and people who have never played before as there is something for everyone!
