Hi Ladies,
With the new academic year just beginning, we would like to welcome all of the fresher’s that have arrived at the university this year as well as welcome back to all the 2nd and 3rd years.
MMU Cheshire Women’s Rugby is quite possibly one of the best clubs at MMU Cheshire! We are a down to earth team who consider every team member as an individual. We play at a competitive level but always have fun both on and off the pitch!
This club is all about new experiences, having fun and making the most of your university life. We encourage both experienced and non-experienced players to get involved. University is about trying new things and meeting new people and Women's Rugby Union allows you to do this and more
This coming season, we have two experienced coaches running training sessions who are both actively involved in rugby, as well as an additional coach for the first seven weeks of the year before our first game, who works within the RFU. We hope that their experience will bring out the best in every individual player.
Matches take place on Wednesday afternoon’s, these are then followed by a social, run by the social sec’s, where everybody gets together as a team to have fun! We have many themed nights which offer awesome banter! These nights will be the highlight of your week!!!
If you are interested, please do not hesitate to get in touch, or come down to one of our training sessions and have a go! We welcome anyone, regardless of whether you have ever picked up a rugby ball or not!
