MMUnion Activities Awards Criteria
This page details the Awards that will be presented at the 2010 Activities Awards Ball on 22nd May 2010 at the Palace Hotel.
If you would like to nominate a club, society or individual for any of the awards please contact s.u.samanchester@mmu.ac.uk with as much information as you can.
Team of the Year
is awarded to the specific team whose performance has been of top quality all season, who have been successful in competition, who have been well organised, who have shown commitment to the Athletic Union and MMUnion.
Club of the Year
is awarded to the club- that has been well organised, whose committee has successfully continued the success or managed the development of the club and it’s members, whose participation record has been excellent, which has shown outstanding commitment to the club and the Athletic Union and MMUnion.
Sports Club Committee Member of the Year
is awarded to the individual who is a member of a club committee, has shown outstanding commitment to the club, to the Athletic Union and to MMUnion, who stands out above other club officials in their efforts put in to the running of their club - is an example to all Athletic Union members in how to behave and contribute to the Athletic Union, has dedicated his/her time to the Athletic Union, has been a central figure in the Athletic Union this year and previous. * there is a £250 prize attached to this award.
Sports Person of the Year
is awarded to the individual who has achieved a high level of performance in their sport in the current year, is a role model for other sportsmen/women, has been an ambassador for MMU, their club and the sport, stands out above others in the club. * there is a £250 prize attached to this award.
Society of the Year
is awarded to the society that has been well organised - whose committee has successfully continued the success or managed the development of the society and it’s members, whose participation record has been excellent, which has shown outstanding commitment to the society and MMUnion.
Society Committee Member of the Year
is awarded to the individual who is a member of a society committee, has shown outstanding commitment to the society and to MMUnion, stands out above other society committee members in their efforts put in to the running of their society.
