Here at MMU the Action Palestine Society is based on and in rememberance of former MMU student Tom Hurndall's (R.I.P) work 'to make a difference'. To end social injustice in the Middle East.

Our mission is to raise awareness about the struggle for humanitarian justice in Palestine and to work towards peace and a drastic change in the standards of daily life. Also to abolish problems relating to basic human rights. The Israeli government is not complying with the U.N (United Nations) law which has been in existence since 1948. Israel continues to defy numerous articles according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Action Palestine at MMU works in conjunction with all the other Action Palestine Societies throughout the, countries different universities aswell as several other societies. We have been able to successfully campaign, fundraise, raise awareness and lead peaceful protests. 

Events organised by Action Palestine range from are: Film nights, informal group discussions, aswell as formal lectures with notable guest speakers to Palestinean Cultural nights.
