WHO ARE WE?
The Critical Lawyers Group is made up of students and staff from any discipline who have an interest in Law and how it works within society. You do not have to be studying Law to benefit from the activities that the group run.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We aim to offer opportunities to members to gain a better understanding of law and how it affects society and individuals. Every Thursday night there will be an event which will be free for members. This will include films, speakers, debates and discussions.
We also run mooting workshops for aspiring barristers and solicitors and will be forming a team to enter national and local competitions.
HOW MUCH IS MEMBERSHIP?
It is £10 for membership of the CLG. This will allow you to access events run by the CLG either free or at a discounted price. The CLG is also affiliated to the Howard League for Penal Reform and Justice, allowing you access to their publications and invites to their events including speakers and a conference.
