The club is open to all abilities, whether you're a pro or have never picked up a racket before and MMU Badminton is a very mixed bunch waiting for you. There will always be players on hand to help you learn the rules, give guidance or generally make you feel welcome. Alternatively, for the more skilled player, there are regular matches to keep you hooked.

We are very proud of our Men’s and Women’s team, both of which compete in the BUCS Northern Conference League. The Girls and Boys did superb last year managing to climb to the leagues above and we also continually do well in the BUCS Northern Conference Cup. Last year’s achievements only want to be further improved on this year and you’re the people to help us do just that.

In November of each year we compete in the University Open Championships in Nottingham where the supports equally as important as those going to play. Alongside this we have the annual Interfaculty Tournament vs MMU Cheshire, usually held in second term.

Trainings just the half of it, the social side is important to us too, it lets us get to know you better, have a drink, lots of laughs (often at each other’s expense) many nights out (throwing themed nights in there for those that like to get creative) and plenty of adventures to go along the way too!! These have included Alton Towers, Bowling, Curry Nights, V Festival, plus a few of us even jetted to Turkey this summer!
