Rounders

2010 Saw Robbie Williams rejoin Take That, Cheryl Divorce Ashley and Phil Mitchell turn into a Crack head. But none of this compares to 2010 having seen the establishment of MMU’s very first Rounder’s Club, formed by some of the finest members of the past and present Athletic Union. We currently already have members from across the spectrum within the AU; Rugby (both women’s and men’s), Football, MMUFS Ski Club, Hockey, Horse riding and many more. MMU has NEVER seen before a club with such DIVERSITY, PASSION and FREEDOM.

This club has been formed on the basis of BANTER! It allows those who are not necessarily the finest of athletes or athletic at all, to still take full advantage of what MMU AU has to offer that may not have been accessible before. This currently being Banter, Booze and the one and only TOUR.

We will be holding fixtures with other Universities, Local Teams as well as amongst ourselves. A bit of friendly competition within the AU to help recreate our favourite pastime of Interfaculty. With weekly training sessions which are both sporting and social, every club member will feel part of the AU family...

Every current member has been on tour with their various clubs and the majority of the friendships where formed through the Carnage that is Sports Vest in Lloret de Mar & we want everyone to experience the sun, sand, sea, sports, sex & sangria in our very own special Man Met Rounder’sy way – create mayhem and get away with it…

Our Club socials are not miss, although you may not remember them… Clubs, Pubs & Trips away – We are up for anything & we love it! Our Club, Team, Social circle what ever you want to call it, is not to be overlooked - MMU’S CLUB OF THE YEAR 2010/2011 – I think so…
