MMU Surf Club

Do it for the sheer thrill of the ride and the therapeutic qualities of the sea.

Do it for the road trips, for the beach parties, for the drinks, for the bonfires, for the adventures, for the memories, for the friends.

 

Socials

Surf socials now on... The weekly surf socials have now started. Every Wednesday the union will be taken over by Manchester's surfers. If you want to find out more, come on down and have a drink with us. If you have any questions or trouble finding us, ring one of the following numbers: Liam 07577651202 Hannah 07913412915.

We have socials every Wednesday night starting at the union from 8:30 moving onto a club.

 

 Trips

 We have official trips to Cornwall, Wales and the East Coast!

Newquay

Newquay trips consist of surfing, sunsets and shenanigans!

The Clubs takes regular trips down to the soft sands of Cornwall. We travel down by mini bus on a Friday afternoon, surf all day Saturday and have a few drinks on Saturday night. We surf again on Sunday and head home Sunday afternoon.

Party Time on Saturdays include; drinking games, fancy dress, bar crawl, beach partying and (of course) skinny-dipping!

Between 25 and 35 members are taken down

Price: Around £50

Price Includes:

Board hire / Wetsuit hire / Accommodation / Transport

Wales

Wales trips are usually day trips to Hells Mouth in Abersoch. They are perfect for escaping rainy Manchester and heading to the beach for a day. Trips involve early morning leave, surf and a pub meal in the Welsh countryside.

Price: £15 (ish) depending on number of members on trip.

Fresher’s Fair

Check out the surf stall at Fresher’s fair on the 21st and 22nd of Sept. Members will be there to answer any questions on the club, trips, surfing, socials and anything else you might ask.
