MMUnion Democracy

One of the strengths of the student movement is that it is led by students, for students. 

Recent changes in Charity law have provided MMUnion with the opportunity to review its governance arrangements with the overriding purpose of providing the legal framework for the provision of excellent governance that supports world-class student engagement. 

The new governance structure and associated engagement strategy underpin MMUnion’s mission to become the leading New University Students’ Union in the UK. 

MMUnion believes that these changes will lead to students:

• Being better listened to.
• Having fewer barriers to involvement.
• Having greater control to direct the work of the union.
• Having a student-centred experience.
• Having more accessible ways to comment on their student experience.
• Being happier students.
